https://kuster.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/shaheen-hassan-kuster-announce-77-million-in-federal-grants-for-nh-water Shaheen, Hassan & Kuster Announce $7.7 Million in Federal Grants for NH Water Infrastructure Projects 2019-11-20 2019 2019-11 Democrat House NH Ann Kuster K000382 kuster.house.gov     legacy (Washington, DC) U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today with U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded more than $7 million in federal grants to the town of Bristol and the Forest Park Tenants' Association Cooperative in Jaffrey to invest in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The grants were awarded by the Rural Water and Wastewater Loans and Grants Program at the USDA. The USDA also allocated the towns more than $12 million in federal loans to assist with the water projects. Shaheen, a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, has historically worked to protect funding for this federal program during the yearly budget process. Specifically, the Town of Bristol will receive a $6,233,000 federal grant and a $10,567,000 federal loan to invest in the town's sewer system. The Forest Park Tenants' Association Cooperative will receive a $1,469,000 federal grant and a $2,044,000 federal loan for water, wastewater and storm water improvements across 25 acres of land in Jaffrey, which includes manufactured housing. This is a very substantial and important investment in water infrastructure for Bristol and Jaffrey, said Senator Shaheen. These federal funds will help deliver clean water to local residents and manage wastewater and storm water. These projects are fundamental to economic development and the well-being of residents, which is why I continue to fight for substantial investments in infrastructure for New Hampshire. This federal funding will allow the Town of Bristol and the Forest Park Tenants' Association Cooperative to make much-needed updates to their water and sewage systems, said Senator Hassan. These important projects will both improve the quality of life for New Hampshire families and protect our environment. I will continue working with my colleagues in our congressional delegation to invest in infrastructure that promotes the health and safety of all Granite Staters. Investing in our water infrastructure is an investment in the wellbeing of Granite Staters and our economy, said Congresswoman Kuster. These funds will help ensure people can access clean and safe water, and will assist towns in managing waste water and storm water. I will continue advocating for funding and resources to support communities throughout New Hampshire. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
