LaMalfa said: "Indian Valley CSD has the responsibility to provide basic services to the people of Greenville, Taylorsville, and Crescent Mills and that includes fire protection, which is often no easy task in Northern California. That's why I think this funding is so important and is why an upgradedfire engine will have a meaningful impact on the people of the Indian Valley community. I thank the USDA and California State Director of Rural Development, Kim Vann for helping to make sure this key funding was awarded appropriately and will be put to good use. Vann said: I am proud to stand with Representative LaMalfa today to highlight the important impact USDA's programs have in our rural communities. The grant award to Indian Valley CSD is a great example of our ongoing investment in rural first responders that helps ensure they have the equipment and resources they need to effectively respond to emergency situations. Rep. LaMalfa with firefighter Lucas Giese, Rural Development CA State Director Kim Dolbow Vann, Fire Chief Tony Balbiani, and firefighter George Wolley. Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California's First Congressional District, including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
