LaMalfa said: Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are crossing a line America's Founders warned us not to cross. A purely partisan impeachment, which does not even have the full backing of the Democratic party, and lacks overwhelming support from the American people or Congress sets a terrible path for our future. Nothing presented to Congress so far has been an impeachable offense, even with their star witnesses in committee and that should end the issue. I know that there is a population of Americans and our own constituents who don't like President Trump. There were many who disliked President Obama with a similar passion. But, simply disliking a President cannot be the driving force behind impeachment. Today's actions weaken our nation and further divides America. Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California's First Congressional District, including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
