This bill addresses all aspects of our food economy, from farm to table, in a way that supports local Rhode Island farmers and encourages land conservation. There are few needs so basic as being able to provide food for one's family, and the bill thankfully does not include draconian cuts to nutrition assistance programs that would have left millions of Americans hungry.
