The grant will help fund a new office to provide health care and substance abuse services for the homeless in Alameda County. The center anticipates serving approximately 1,900 homeless individuals and families at the new site. "This funding is needed more than ever and will make a difference for thousands of people in Alameda County who desperately need health care, particularly substance abuse services," said Lee.
