Congresswoman Lee stated that she was disappointed by the use of her name by Tikkun without consultation. The ad promoted the event and the legislative agenda of the group. Contrary to the implication of the ad, she was never scheduled to speak at the Teach-In, although she was scheduled to join participants at a dinner. She also noted that the disclaimer that Not all speakers agree with all the points made in this ad or [the enclosed political] Resolution, which appeared in very small print, did not excuse the unauthorized use of names of Members of Congress.Congresswoman Lee has personally expressed her disappointment to the organizers.
