This grant will help school-based health centers nationwide prevent and manage environmental asthma triggers for children at school and at home. I am pleased these important federal resources are coming into the district to prevent, address and treat the disproportionately high rates of asthma amongst young people of color in our community. TheEast Bay community continues to fight for environmental justice and children's health. It is an honor to represent that legacy in Congress, said Congresswoman Lee. Today's announcement is an important step towards addressing health inequalities in low-income neighborhoods and communities of color.
