Davis’ painting, “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” fuses the lively, festival-style traditions of Louisiana with the pride of America’s 250th anniversary. Having grown up in the district, Davis said many of the painting’s details symbolize the memories she made sitting on picnic blankets and watching parades go by. “It is a privilege to highlight Anna and her artwork, as it symbolizes some of the most beautiful traditions in Louisiana where our communities come together,” said Congresswoman Julia Letlow. “I am excited to bring this painting to the Capitol and share it with others.” | 1 | 2026-06-27T21:44:12Z | 2026-06-27T22:21:02Z |
