Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) announced that in 2023, organizations and agencies within his district in Los Angeles County received more than $627 million in federal grants. The Office of Congressman Ted Lieu offers grant support services to Congressman Lieu’s constituents by fulfilling grant information requests and writing and submitting letters of support for grant applicants. In total, more than 1,000 federal grants were awarded to entities within Congressman Lieu’s district. The funding supports local STEM research and innovation, affordable housing development, veteran services, and more. “One of the best parts of serving in Congress is being able to advocate for federal funding for local agencies, organizations, cities, and institutions in my district. I’m pleased that we were able to support many grant applications this year, and that more than $627 million in federal funding will reach entities in our district. Supporting our nation’s heroes and addressing the affordable housing crisis are priorities of mine in Congress, so I’m pleased to see federal funding go to local organizations working to accomplish those goals. My staff and I look forward to continuing to support local grant applications to ensure federal funding reaches our communities in LA County.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T01:14:16Z
