Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02), a member of the Ways and Means Committee that drafted the House’s tax reform legislation, released the following statement after supporting the motion: “Following the passage of the Senate tax bill, I am pleased that the House has successfully voted to go to Conference where we will continue our work to re-write our broken tax code. Reconciling the best from the House and Senate bills into a single bill is the next step in the legislative process toward our final goal. There are many differences between the House and Senate bills—such as the pass-through business tax rate, the effective date of the corporate tax rate, and a variety of important tax credits—that will need to be addressed. I look forward to strengthening the tax legislation to incentivize more jobs, larger paychecks, and a tax relief for hard-working Americans. “As this legislative process continues, I encourage eastern Kansans to contact my office with your ideas and concerns. I will be sure to share your thoughts with my colleagues as we work to let Americans keep more of their money and make our tax code fairer and simpler for all.” 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
