Congressman MacArthur was working in New York City at the time of the terrorist attacks and saw first-hand what first responders sacrificed in the line of duty. The 2016 government funding bill includes a five-year extension of 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund (VCF) and reauthorization of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act through 2090. When we said never forget, we meant it, said Congressman MacArthur. The heroes of 9/11 risked their lives and offered care in our nations time of need and they must not be forgotten. The James L. Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act will provide medical monitoring and treatment for 9/11 first responders and victims.
