The Veterans Freedom of Healthcare Act was introduced by Representative Donald Norcross (NJ-01) and has the supportof Republicans, Democrats, local veterans organizations and health care providers. The Act would allow Americas heroes to use their VA benefits at the health care provider of their choice, like a doctor in their own town, instead of having to travel to a different city or state for an appointment. Our veterans deserve access to quality care anytime, anywhere," said Congressman Tom MacArthur. "Our current system limits veterans to particular hospitals or clinics and doesnt give our nations heroes the best care available. There are far too many veterans waiting months to be seen by a healthcare professional within the VA system and its an absolute travesty. This bill would give our veterans the choice to seek medical care outside of the VA system and improve access and quality for every individual that has served our nation. I am proud to join Congressman Norcross in the pursuit of bipartisan solutions to ensure South Jersey veterans have access to the high quality care they deserve. Our veterans didnt wait to answer the call of duty to serve and protect our freedoms. They shouldnt have to wait for quality health care.
