Mace’s office worked with SCDOT and the town of Moncks Corner, including submitting a congressional letter of support. The funding will advance a key infrastructure project designed to improve pedestrian safety, connectivity and access throughout Moncks Corner. The project will establish a safe mobility corridor linking several neighborhoods to major destinations, including Old Santee Canal Park, Moncks Corner Elementary School, Roper Hospital and local businesses, ensuring residents, students, and visitors can travel more safely and efficiently. This grant not only strengthens local infrastructure but also supports the Lowcountry economy. “When Moncks Corner needed help making its streets safer, we delivered,” said Congresswoman Mace. “South Carolina is the fourth fastest-growing state in America, and investing in infrastructure isn’t optional—it’s essential. This $1.2 million grant is part of more than $400 million in federal infrastructure funding we’ve secured for the Lowcountry over the past two years—a major win for South Carolinians.” Moncks Corner Mayor Thomas J.
