Charlie Kirk devoted his life to defending the freedoms defining our nation. He inspired millions, led countless souls to Christ, and never wavered in defense of the First Amendment. Such a legacy makes him uniquely worthy of this distinction. “Charlie Kirk was more than a leader, he was a man of faith, integrity, and conviction,” said Congresswoman Mace. “He gave young Americans the courage to speak boldly, to live out their beliefs, and to never waver in the defense of freedom. It is only fitting his life be remembered in the Capitol, where the freedoms he defended are enshrined. His legacy will endure, and his faith will continue to inspire millions.” If adopted by both the House and Senate, the resolution permits Kirk’s remains to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda on a date and for a period of time determined by Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate.
