Parsons' piece, entitled 'Bohemian Waxing Bird,' will be displayed in the Capitol for one year alongside the winners from each Congressional District. The runner-up for this year's competition, Brooklyn resident Emily Shteynberg who attends Staten Island Technical High School, will have her piece 'Girl with Sweet Cherries,' displayed in Malliotakis' Washington, D.C. office for one year. "I was proud to congratulate both Jemma and Emily for winning this year's Congressional Art Competition," said Congresswoman Malliotakis. "Both students are extremely talented artists and well-deserving of this honor.
