Congresswoman Malliotakis stated, "With Staten Island having a lower vaccination rate than the rest of the state, I am happy to host these two events to make the vaccine more available and convenient on the North Shore and Mid-Island. I am proud to work with Mt. Sinai United Christian Church, Jewish Community Center's Fall Festival, Randal Manor Pharmacy and Walgreens in partnership to bring vaccines to the community with representatives of the community." JCC CEO Orit Lender said, “We are so pleased to be able to partner with Rep. Malliotakis and Walgreens on this important vaccination initiative. Reopening our JCC programs would not have been possible without the protection the vaccine provides. We encourage Staten Island families to attend our free fall festival, have some fun, and get vaccinated!” Bishop Brown of Mt. Sinai United Christian Church stated, “Don’t hesitate. Appreciate. Vaccines save lives!” Malliotakis’ office has directly assisted over 650 constituents access the vaccine when limited supply made appointments scarce. The Congresswoman previously organized a pop up on the South Shore at Angelina’s Restaurant in partnership with Costco Pharmacies.
