"President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, and House Democrats are grossly misusing the noble process of reconciliation," said Rep. Mann. "Intended to be a tool of compromise for Congress to reduce the national deficit, the Democrat party is instead using it to jam through partisan legislation through a deadlock Congress. The Build Back Better plan will only add to an already enormous deficit, drive up inflation on the middle class, and shrink the privacy and rights of the American people." Earlier this month House Democrats attempted to push through the $1.75 trillion reconciliation package in conjunction with the $1.3 trillion infrastructure package. The infrastructure package passed the House of Representatives without reconciliation. Rep. Mann voted against the infrastructure package and will vote against the Build Back Better plan when it reaches the House Floor. Click here to watch Rep. Mann's full remarks on the House Floor. ### 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T20:30:49Z
