Governor Pritzker signed House Bill 370, repealing parental consent requirements for minor girls receiving an abortion, and the Biden Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved mailing dangerous abortion pills to young women without a doctor's visit. Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) issued the following statement on this radical advancement of the abortion agenda: "Democrats used to say they wanted abortion to be safe, legal and rare, but today, radical abortion activists advanced measures to give young girls abortions without parental consent and to mail dangerous abortion pills to girls without a doctor's visit," Miller said. "Repealing parental consent for abortion makes vulnerable girls even more vulnerable. "We should all be concerned that sexual abusers will take advantage of this new law by bringing the young girls they prey upon into an abortion clinic. Allowing secret abortions to be performed on minor girls without their mother's knowledge is not healthcare, it's child abuse. "Parents are the guardians of their children, not the government and not the abortionists at Planned Parenthood." Illinois House Bill 370 repeals the Parental Notification of Abortion Act of 1995 and goes into effect on June 1, 2022.
