https://mcadams.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=507 McAdams backs measure for greater accountability, restoring trust in Congress 2020-10-08 2020 2020-10 Democrat House UT Ben McAdams M001209 mcadams.house.gov     legacy Washington, D.C.Congressman Ben McAdams announces his support for a bill that ensures no automatic pay increases for members of Congress and other provisions aimed at increasing accountability and transparency. The bipartisan Foster Accountability, Integrity, Trust, and Honor (FAITH) in Congress Act (H.R. 8305) enacts common-sense reforms and tax dollar protections. This bill creates a number of reforms to improve trust in and accountability of Congress. It includes items I have been fighting for, such as stopping automatic pay raises for members of Congress and requiring no budget, no pay', meaning that Congress must do its job passing a budget or they don't get paid, said Congressman McAdams. McAdams says the bill, introduced by Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), also prohibits first-class travel at taxpayer expense, bans members of Congress from later becoming lobbyists, and prioritizes bipartisan legislation over partisan measures. The FAITH in Congress Act ensures that all members will be held to higher standards, recognizing our duty as careful stewards of tax dollars and a responsibility to all Americans, said McAdams. Rep. McAdams spoke about his support for the FAITH Act on House floor. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
