I have spent the last two years fighting to rescind the vaccine mandate for our servicemembers, and we did just that,” said Rep. McClain. “We also ensured no Red Flag laws were included and no language to draft our daughters. On top of that, we stopped the Democrats from putting more wokeness into the military. Additionally, this bill gives our soldiers a pay raise and helps modernize our military to help combat China. Overall, the NDAA is a win for our military, our country, and our national security.” Rep. McClain secured several vital wins in the NDAA for Michigan. Outlined below are the provisions. NDAA $8,000,000- Combat Vehicle Lithium 6T Battery development $10,000,000- HTPEM APU “Silent Watch” battery development program $1,278,140,000- Additional Abrams tank procurement $97,000,000- Abrams tank upgrade program $11,500,000- Northern Strike military exercises that occur in Michigan $3,614,290,000- Ground Based Strategic Deterrent $10,000,000- Supersonic turbine engine development program $5,000,000- Automotive Research Center (ARC) The ARC currently has four university members from the State of Michigan (Michigan Technological University, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Oakland University, and Wayne State University) and also the host organization the Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center in Warren, MI. $30,000,000- National Security Space Launch Program Provision for US Allies- Israel Military Exercises Provision for US-Macedonia Engagement Report on A-10 Divestment Report on Air Force’s PFAS Progress Provision for STEM Education at HBCU’s In the NDAA, under the Water Resources Development Act: 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T03:32:05Z
