President Obama's executive actions will make electricity more expensive, kill jobs, and increase the likelihood of power outages, said McKinley. His plan will severely damage America's economy while having little impact on the climate. Bipartisan majorities in both houses of Congress oppose his regulatory overreach and 26 states are suing the EPA to stop it, said McKinley. This significant opposition makes it clear that many Americans are worried about how these regulations will impact their power bills and their livelihoods. The latest action by the House utilized a seldom-used procedure which allows Congress to repeal major regulations.
