The Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Reform (STRR) Act of 2015 reauthorizes and reforms federal transportation programs for the next six years. Anyone who drives on our roads can see that we must invest in our infrastructure and fix our roads and bridges, said Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV). This long term plan will give West Virginia and our local communities the certainty they need to make planning decisions and prioritize important projects such as Corridor H. The House bill also makes reforms to streamline permitting, give states and communities flexibility to address their priorities, and promote innovative approaches. As an engineer who started in construction building I-70 across Ohio County, I understand the important role our entire transportation infrastructure plays in our lives, said McKinley.
