The two measures were approved with strong bipartisan support. “These votes were about securing Michigan priorities,” said Bishop. “Representing this district and state means fighting for our families – and that includes getting the people of Flint the long-overdue help they need. We are finally about to make that happen. “The Great Lakes are an important focus of these bills, as well. Formally authorizing the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative allows us to protect our environment for future generations to enjoy.
