Just last month, Australia’s Parliament passed the News Bargaining Charge Bill 2026, which imposes a 2.75% tax on certain American digital service providers, ultimately undermining U.S. commerce. This letter urges Ambassador Greer to oppose these measures before they have serious negative effects on American businesses, commercial interests, and the U.S. economy.
