DFC’s Support Program supports 587 coalitions across the United States with total funding of $73 million. Click here for the FY23 DFC Support Program Continuation Award Recipient List. “We have a substance use problem in the United States and our children are dying because of it,” said Congresswoman Miller. “It is crucial we continue investing into programs and organizations that focus on our youth and substance use prevention. With a devastating fentanyl crisis in West Virginia, I’m grateful that our state is receiving the resources our programs need to protect our children and communities.” Background: The DFC Support Program invests in organizations which prevent youth substance use. Logan County Prevention Coalitionin Huntington, Fayette Prevention Coalition in Fayetteville, and Regional Family Resource Network, Inc. in Elkview, West Virginia have each been awarded DFC Program awards. In 2021, there were over 100,000 overdose deaths in West Virginia.
