This grant to support law enforcement in the location and investigation of unlawful activities related to the manufacturing and distribution of heroin, or the illegal distribution of prescription opioids. Heroin and opioid overdoses claim one Michigander every four hours, and the opioid epidemic does not care about political party, social status, age, race, or hometown. This grant from the Department of Justice gives Michigan State Police additional resources it needs to help secure our communities from this opioid addiction epidemic.
