The app is designed to help patients who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease have access to physical therapy exercises. It utilizes virtual reality technology to simulate hand-eye coordination exercises such as motioning to pop a bubble. The students have produced a video about their app, which can be seen here. "Congratulations to Allison, Elliana, and Lauren on creating their new app and utilizing their skills to make a positive difference in the community. Learning a coding language and putting those skills to use can help open the door to good-paying jobs not only now, but also in the future," said Congressman Moolenaar. "I want to thank everyone who participated in this year's Congressional App Challenge and encourage the incredibly talented students of mid and northern Michigan to participate again next year." The Congressional App Challenge is a yearly competition that takes place throughout the country where students design and create original apps.
