Charitable proceeds from the game will go toward the Washington Literacy Center, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and the United States Capitol Police Memorial Fund. If Kildee and the Democrats win the game, Moolenaar will buy Kildee a famous BLT from Tony's in Birch Run, stacked with a pound of bacon. If Moolenaar and the Republicans win, Kildee will send Moolenaar coney dogs from a Coney Island in Flint. "It's always an honor to participate in this game and help bring Republicans and Democrats together for an evening. Tonight, we're going to raise a lot of money for charity and help those in need. I am hoping for a Republican victory on the field, and I look forward to having a few coneys courtesy of Congressman Kildee," said Congressman Moolenaar. "I have participated in the Congressional Baseball Game since coming to Congress, and I always look forward to it. It's a tradition that gives Democrats and Republicans a different way to compete, all while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity.
