Congressman John Moolenaar, who represents Mecosta County in the U.S. House of Representatives and serves on the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, is opposed to the project. “Over the past year, we have learned about the very concerning ties Gotion has with the Chinese Communist Party, including its parent company making products for the Chinese military, and the son of a CCP official leading Gotion’s American operations.
