The Village of Elsie and Richfield Township both received grants to purchase newlaw enforcement patrol vehicles and the Mid-Michigan Community Fire Board in St. Louis received funding to purchase a new radio system. I am proud to support Michigan's first responders and the work they do to keep our communities safe, said Congressman John Moolenaar. This funding from USDA will provide updated equipment that our law enforcement officers and firefighters need toserve andprotect Michigan residents. Congressman Moolenaar is Michigan's senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, and a member of the subcommittee which has oversight over the Department of Agriculture. As a member of the committee, he has supported rural development funding that helps local communities meet the needs of Michigan residents. Additionally, Congressman Moolenaar has supported legislation in Congress to provide resources for law enforcement and first responders. The Village of Elsie and Richfield Township were awarded $42,000 and $24,000 respectively, and the Mid-Michigan Community Fire Board was awarded $32,000.
