During this sacred time, I hope that the light of the menorah serves as a reminder that even in the darkest moments, hope, resilience, and community endure. “I am grateful for the leadership of Governor Healey and the Massachusetts Legislature in establishing the Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism to confront this growing and deeply troubling problem. Antisemitism is a profound and enduring evil, which is why we cannot allow it to persist unchecked. It must be condemned in all its forms, and we must respond with unity and purpose to the alarming rise in antisemitic incidents in Massachusetts and across the nation. “The Commission has done thorough and thoughtful work examining the scope and causes of antisemitism in our Commonwealth, putting forward meaningful recommendations that provide a clear roadmap for both government and private actors to take concrete action.
