The men and women who take an oath to protect and defend their communities. The men and women who deserve nothing less than our full support. Crime has skyrocketed thanks to the Biden Administration’s anti-police policies and rhetoric. This has tied the hands of our law enforcement behind their backs and placed the lives of our communities and police officers at risk. In Central Washington, state legislators have taken a page out of the Biden Administration’s handbook and passed legislation that denies our law enforcement the ability to do their jobs—detain, pursue, and investigate criminal activity. This has led to an 88% increase in vehicle thefts across the state. To make matters worse, police officers are being targeted while doing their jobs. Last year, 617 officers were killed in the line of duty, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. This is tragic and unacceptable. I am proud to stand with our law enforcement officers who work to protect us every day and will never stop working to help them gain the tools they need to keep our families and businesses safe.
