Nearly 1,000 constituents attended to learn about and receive help from programs ranging from Society Security to local rent assistance. “I’m honored to represent the families of South Jersey,” said Congressman Norcross. “This constituent services fair gives our community an opportunity to connect directly with the services they need and deserve. My team is always ready to help our neighbors, and it’s great when we can get them immediate assistance by having these agencies on site. I want to thank everyone who was able to make it today and all the agencies and nonprofits that participated. For those who were unable to attend today, my office is always here and ready to help. Don’t hesitate to reach out.” During the event, Congressman Norcross delivered remarks before a breakout session focused on connecting seniors with relevant programs and services at the federal and county level, including Social Security and Medicare. The congressman spoke about the importance of ensuring American seniors were able to live their golden years in dignity. When he announced the recent signing of the Inflation Reduction Act into law, which caps out-of-pocket costs for seniors, the audience broke out into applause. “How we treat our seniors speaks volumes about who we are as a county,” he said. Federal agencies that attended today’s Constituent Services Fair included the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Social Security Administration, and the U.S. Veterans Administration.
