Today, Norton published a series of tweets outlining the Republican attacks on D.C. home rule, which can be viewed here. As we insist on statehood for the District of Columbia, today we remember Christmas Eve, 44 years ago, when the Home Rule Act was signed into law. Going on the House floor in remembrance is one way to commemorate this special anniversary. Another is to call out the continuing attacks on D.C. home rule, notwithstanding the Home Rule Act.
