Applications are due to the Commission by 5:00 p.m. on September 26, 2023. President Biden, like Presidents Clinton and Obama, granted Norton senatorial courtesy to recommend candidates for federal district court judges and other important federal law enforcement officials in D.C. The Commission screens and recommends candidates to Norton, who makes recommendations to Biden.
