With input costs up and inflation driving profits down, producers are facing enough difficulties without worrying about D.C. hurting their business. They deserve far better than to be saddled with the consequences of politicians not doing their job. That’s why, today, I voted to extend funding for critical farm programs for a year so Iowa’s producers can have the certainty they need to continue running their operations after a busy harvest season. I’m also continuing to aggressively fight for a five-year Farm Bill that includes the priorities shared with us during our Farm Bill Listening Tours.” BACKGROUND The House of Representatives today passed the Further Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act, which extends Farm Bill programs through September 30, 2024.
