As a former law enforcement officer, I have seen firsthand the uniquely heinous kind of damage domestic and sexual violence can do to survivors and families, said O'Halleran. Today, I am pleased to see much-needed funding headed to Arizona organizations that are working tirelessly to ensure survivors can access the resources, support, and protection they need. We must permanently reauthorize VAWA and continue the fight for change at every level. In Arizona's First Congressional District, funding was awarded to: Against Abuse, Inc., Casa Grande, AZ Alice's Place, Inc., Winslow, AZ Gila River Health Care, Sacaton, AZ Navajo County Attorney's Office North Country HealthCare, Flagstaff, AZ Victim Witness Services for Coconino County, Flagstaff, AZ The following organizations in Arizona were also awarded funding: Amberly's Place Family Advocacy Center Arizona Department of Public Safety Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys' Advisory Council BLOOM365 City of Prescott Police Department Family Violence Center, Arizona State University Legal Services for Crime Victims in Arizona Mariposa Community Health Center New Life Center Pinal County Attorney's Office Prescott Valley Police Department Prevent Child Abuse Arizona Sojourner Center Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation Southern Arizona Children's Advocacy Center Surprise Prosecutor's Office Today's funding was awarded via the Arizona STOP Violence Against Women Grant program funded by the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office on Violence Against Women, authorized by the Violence Against Women Act. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
