Rural communities across Arizona have long faced significant barriers to accessing comprehensive health care. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the urgent need for telehealth infrastructure to keep rural families connected to the care they need, said O'Halleran. I am pleased to see these much-needed investments in rural telehealth and telemedicine infrastructure that will benefit countless Arizona families and allow these medical centers to continue to serve rural communities. A grant of $744,452 was awarded to Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center to develop a telemedicine network and maximize health care resources through its medical centers covering the Globe, Kearny, Superior, Young, and Tonto Basin communities, and agrant of $377,494 was awarded to Benson Hospital to launch a new telemedicine project that will be deployed at 11 sites to provide telehealth services to rural residentsin Cochise, Graham, and Greenlee counties. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
