O’Halleran. “There is much to be proud of in this bipartisan bill, including provisions that combat sexual assault in the military, reduce opioid overdoses among veterans and servicemembers, and give our brave men and women in uniform a well-deserved pay raise.” The FY18 NDAA authorizes nearly $700 billion in defense spending that strengthens U.S. deterrence capabilities against Russian aggression, supports our ongoing efforts to defeat ISIS, and provides military leaders with long-term strategic planning capabilities to protect our nation. “I am proud of the bipartisan, collaborative work that went into this legislation to support the men and women of our Armed Forces,” continued O’Halleran. “We are sending a bill to the President’s desk that will secure our nation, invest in critical technology, and ensure our military readiness is at its highest levels.” The Conference Report of the FY18 NDAA includes provisions for which Rep.
