Access to safe drinking water is essential to protecting public health, and the Hopi Tribe has long struggled without the resources they need to address naturally occurring arsenic in their water supply and keep their community safe, said O'Halleran. Hopi Chairman Timothy L. Nuvangyaoma has been a tireless advocate for this project, and I am proud to have worked with him in securing this funding. The Hopi Arsenic Mitigation Project is a regional pipeline project that will deliver safe drinking water to four Hopi communities, serving 869 homes.
