Onder, Jr. O000177 onder.house.gov onder https://onder.house.gov/media/press-releases scraper Contact: Brooke Morgan WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Bob Onder (MO-03) released the following statement after voting to pass the clean, Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government and end the longest government shutdown in American history. "I'm Congressman Bob Onder, representing Missouri's Third Congressional District. The longest government shutdown in our nation's history has finally come to an end. Thanks to strong Republican leadership, the Senate voted to reopen the government and put America First. The American people deserve accountability and leadership, and that takes decisive action to protect their livelihoods. 750,000 Americans went without paychecks. Our TSA agents worked without pay. Families faced uncertainty about their SNAP benefits. It was long past time to act, to pass this funding bill, and to end the shutdown. I'm grateful to be back in Washington, fighting for Missourians; to strengthen our economy, secure our nation's borders, protect women's sports, and honor our first responders. As your Congressman, I voted to fund the government on September 19th, and I voted again tonight to do the same. I would have voted every single day since this shutdown began if given the opportunity, just as my Republican colleagues in the Senate did repeatedly. Today, I was proud to stand alongside my colleagues to put America First. As Speaker Johnson stated, there will be "long days and long nights" ahead on Capitol Hill, and he's right. Thank you, and may God bless you, and may God bless the great state of Missouri." Watch Congressman Bob Onder's recorded statement below. 1 2026-04-04T05:28:40Z 2026-04-04T05:30:10Z
