I am pleased to see the continued growth of commercial space programs at Stennis with the addition of SpaceX engine testing. As the world's premier rocket testing facility, Stennis will provide SpaceX with matchless capabilities for testing their new Raptor engines. As a long-time advocate for bringing increased commercial space activities to Stennis, I know that SpaceX will be a welcome addition to South Mississippi. The Gulf Coast aerospace corridor is open for business and continues to bolster U.S. leadership in space. The State of Mississippi, with support from the Mississippi Development Authority and the Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission, reached an agreement with SpaceX to expand testing capabilities at NASA Stennis Space Center. Improvements to the E-2 test-stand infrastructure will allow new testing to begin in early 2014. ### f t # e 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
