Since the Air Force chose Keesler Air Force Base number one, I suppose being named CIA Director is a well-deserved consolation prize.  I know Congressman Pompeo will serve our nation well.” Congressman Pompeo graduated first in his class from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1986 and has represented the fourth district of Kansas since 2011.  His district includes McConnell Air Force Base, which was ranked as the second best Air Force base in the country by the Air Force in 2013.  Keesler Air Force base, which is located in Congressman Palazzo’s district, was ranked as the best Air Force base the same year.  f t # e 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
