As a young man, entering the Marines was an easy decision and a family tradition with both my uncle and grandfather also being Marines. I believe it is my duty to give back to the country that has given so much to me and am forever grateful for my time in the Marine Corps. It is now a privilege to continue serving the country as a member of the Mississippi National Guard and a member of Congress." In an effort to recognize all Congressional members that are veterans, Secretary Wilkie extended the 2018 Veterans Day lapel pin to all veterans serving in Congress as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
