The funding is provided through the Department of Homeland Security's Nonprofit Security Grant Program's (NSGP) Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) that supports physical security enhancements and coordination activities for nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist attack. Nonprofits in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District will receive over $2 million. "These grants will help houses of worship throughout the state protect their members and will give our local communities the resources they need for security coordination," Pallone said.
