Following the ceremony, Rep. Palmer released the following statement: “In Romans 13:7 (NKJV), the Bible tells us to ‘Render therefore to all their due… honor to whom honor.’ For Veterans of the Vietnam War, the honor we owe them is long overdue. Those who served in Vietnam answered their country’s call in a difficult and divisive time. When they returned home, they often received little to no recognition for their sacrifice. It was a privilege to recognize these veterans for their dedication and service to our nation. Especially around Veterans Day, it’s never too late to thank our veterans,” said Rep.
