We need to move in a different direction, which means working together in a bipartisan manner for reforms that reduce costs, improve quality, protect the doctor-patient relationship, and ensure access and choice for individuals, employees, and families.” The Star Tribune reported yesterday that Minnesota health plans are expected to see considerable premium increases this fall, with the majority of proposals above 50 percent and one nearly as high as 70 percent. These increases will impact roughly 300,000 Minnesotans who purchase plans on the individual market. Congressman Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
