The legislation extends the Medicare open enrollment period for seniors currently enrolled in Medicare Cost Plans that will terminate at the end of the year. Choosing a Medicare option is a big decision, and no Minnesota senior should be rushed in making such a choice through no fault of their won, said Congressman Paulsen. Giving seniors more time to study their options will help them make the best decision as they navigate a cumbersome and confusing process. The legislation was approved by the House Ways and Means Committee with unanimous bipartisan support last week. It now awaits action by the Senate. More information on the legislation is available here. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
