"This is great news for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the local economy," Pingree said. "The design and engineering work that Oak Point is going to do for Portsmouth will improve a number of buildings at the yard and make them more energy efficient. That helps keep the yard competitive and supports good paying local jobs at the same time." Oak Point will be responsible for engineering, design and construction services for projects involving many types of industrial facilities at Navy installations throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
