Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) is one of 160 co-sponsors of Representative Mike Doyles (D-PA) Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to overturn the FCC's controversial decision on Obama-era Net Neutrality rules. Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) has sponsored a companion bill in the Senate. President Trumps FCC Commissioner ignored millions of public comments to overturn Net Neutrality rules. Commissioner Pai's decision will have huge economic consequences for Mainers. Eighty percent of Americans use the Internet to find a job while nearly all businesses need an online presence to connect with consumers, said Pingree. If there is one issue that cuts across party lines, its Internet freedom for all. I have heard from thousands of Mainers who feel the FCC has just given telecommunications companies a giveaway at their expense. I urge Speaker Ryan to let us vote on House Resolution 129 before Net Neutrality rules expire in a few weeks. Read H.J.Res. 129. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
